What is the A.T.H. Elite Childrens Fitness Program?
A.T.H. Elite (Achieve the heights of the Elite) is a Children’s fitness program created for kids ranging in age from 6-13.
It is a multi phase training regimen that consists of three key components.
I. Strength & Flexibility
II. Speed & Sprint Mechanics
III. Plyometrics Technique
Strength & Flexibility (level I)
Ath-Elites are introduced to a program that includes overall general strength, dynamic and static flexibility. These components increase overall body awareness, increased strength, power and improved range of motion.
Speed & Sprint Mechanics (level I)
Ath-Elites focus extensively on improving foot speed, reaction time, sprint mechanics and agility. The overall objective of this component is to teach the body how to run faster.
Plyometrics Technique (level I)
Ath-Elites are taught the proper sequence of movements necessary to increase vertical or horizontal jumping ability. Using plyometrics and power exercises we teach the body how to move more efficiently.
Why Should I Place my Child in A.T.H Elite?
Schools have been cutting programs to save money. Most of the after school intramural fitness programs once offered are no longer available. As a result of this our children’s physical fitness is suffering. It is our responsibility to our children to give them every opportunity possible to increase their chances of having a long and healthy life. We are losing the battle against childhood obesity and the only way to beat it is to get our children moving again and that's where A.T.H. Elite comes in. The program serves the purpose of prevention and intervention depending on what your child needs.
I,like most parents have a hard time trying to convince my boys that participating in a sport is more fun in real life than on their video game system. Once I drag them out of the house they realize that being active is more fun and that playing a video game is actually a waste of time.
How your child will benefit from participating
The benefits of the program are more than just losing weight and getting in shape. Through our program children gain self confidence. We teach them the ability to set goals and to achieve them. With their increased abilities they will also have a new positive self image of themselves. We teach them the importance of team work and they develop the ability to follow direction. These skills will give the children an advantage when they are adults and provide them with endless opportunities in the future.

Creating the A.T.H Elite program I wanted to incorporate an element of fun. It is exercise but it doesn’t have to feel like it. Once we finish a program we normally finish the lesson with a game utilizing all the movements that we covered for the day. The children do not realize that while they are playing the game they are improving their cardiovascular capacity and developing skills that will assist them well into their adulthood.
We Plan on relaunching our Kids Programs in **March of 2012**
Layout of A.T.H. Elite Program
The program separates the children into different age categories. Each group is then broken down into smaller groups. We try to keep the groups to a max of 10 children per instructor so that each child can get the attention they require.
